FIELD TRIP DAY- 27TH Sept 2012
For our field trip day, we chose Amanora fire station to go
to. All children looked very excited when they were told that we are going out
for a little picnic. Two vehicles had been arranged for this day. We reached
our destination around 11am. A big red fire engine stood near the entrance. The
authorities at Amanora fire station were ready to give us a demonstration of
how a fire engine works. A person dressed in a silver fire suit took us through
the entire demonstration. We were shown to what great heights and lengths water
can be thrown at. The children were told that when a fire engine is seen on the
road, other vehicles make way for it, so that it can reach its destination
without losing much time. The fireman then shook hands with the children and
said bye to them. We ended the day by having some biscuits and appy juice which
we had carried along with us.
COOKERY DAY- 25TH Sept 2012
Sept 25th 2012, was cookery day at our school.
Kanha Thote of Nursery was the ‘Masterchef’ of the day. All the children
gathered out in the open to give a hand at their culinary skills. Salad making
was the theme of the day. We had chopped vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers,
carrots, pasta and corn laid out on the table. The children began by mixing
their favourites into a bowl to make a salad of their choice. It was truly a
delight to see all of them relishing their preparation of all vegetables.
TEACHERS' DAY & FLOWER ARRNGEMENT DAY - 7TH Sept 2012
Teachers’Day was celebrated on 7th Sept along
with flower arrangement day. We had a big thermocol cutout of “HAPPY TEACHERS’
DAY” displayed out in the open with some smileys too. Vedant Nikumbh of LKG
came dressed as Dr.Radhakrishnan and Abigail Fernandes of Nursery came dressed
as a teacher. Vedant Nikumbh spoke a few lines as to why teachers’ day is
celebrated and Abigail conducted the assembly for the day. The children gave
happy teachers’ day cards to all teachers.
For the flower arrangement day, children got along with them
yellow and white flowers, which they arranged together as a group activity in
their respective classes. We also had a common flower arrangement activity done
in the open in the school premises.
