JANMASHTHAMI CELEBRATIONS – 6th Aug 2012

Learning is incomplete if a school does not include celebrations of all our rich and colourful festivals, our country India is known for.
An auspicious beginning in our school was the celebration of Janamashtami. The school was decorated with marigold flowers and green mango leaves. It looked so festive. As part of involvement of parents  we requested Mrs. Tanvi Naik, a parent to conduct the ritual part of the festival. We had a beautifully decorated ‘jhoola’ with an idol of baby Krishna – ‘Kanha’ in it. The puja was performed with diyas, agarbathi, kumkum. The children were told a brief story of Lord Krishna. They pulled the ‘dor’ to swing the jhoola. Sweets were distributed. A ‘makta’ decorated with flowers was suspended from a rope.

BLUE COLOUR DAY – 31st July 2012

Blue – The colour of the sky, the colour of water. An important colour of our planet was introduced to our children at Lexicon Kids Kondhwa.
It was truly a Blue colour Day as children came to school dressed in blue outfits. Right from the entrance to all the classrooms we had put up charts with pictures of a peacock, whale, inkpot, jeans, cutouts of boats all in the colour ‘Blue.’ The activity was making of kites with blue chart paper.
A photo frame with a child’s family photograph was made in blue.

FATHER’S DAY – 18TH July 2012

It is said that a mother plays a very important role in a child’s life. True, very true! But we at Lexicon Kids firmly believe that a father is a role model, a guiding star, a hero and is so important in a child’s life. So to drive this point we celebrated Father’s Day- a day only for the fathers.
The chief guest for this fun filled morning was our Respected Chairman, Mr. Sukhdev Sir. He was accompanied by the first lady Mrs. Kamal Sharma.
The programme included a prayer, a song “Papa Darling”, origin of Father’s day, significance of a father in our lives. Our Director Mrs. Deepti Mam addressed the gathering. Our very dynamic Vice Chairman Mr. Neeraj Sir gave thought provoking message to all the fathers present. A handmade paper tie was presented to all as a soveniour. It ended on a sweet note with a cake cutting ceremony.

RED DAY 29th June 2012

The air was filled with excitement and enthusiasm as we got ready to celebrate our very first colour day –RED. The school was decorated with red colour balloons. We put up charts in the classrooms depicting objects made of red. The children coloured a cutout of a bird in red, it looked like a Red Robin. It didn’t stop there, the kids also ate food items like a red apple, red pomegranate seeds, red sauce/ red jam sandwich. How can we forget that all the children came in a red coloured dress.
After all this do you think that the children will ever forget a RED colour! NEVER!
